Glider - Drawing The Artwork
Maybe it’s unsurprising that the majority of the art in Glider begins with a pencil and paper.
I draw the objects in the game (like the cake above) on 65 lb. sketch paper. I then ink them in with a Sharpie marker (erasing the pencil). Then I scan the drawings at 150 DPI (grayscale) with an Epson scanner.

From this stage on, the workflow for the image is fully digital — primarily in Photoshop. Level adjustments, scaling down to the correct size, touching-up, adding color, shading, textures....
